Location: Plano, TX – Onsite


About the Role

We are seeking a Fortinet Architect (L3 SME) to serve as the technical authority for Fortinet‑based security and networking solutions. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise‑grade architectures across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments, while providing advanced support and guidance to teams and customers.


Key Responsibilities

• Act as SME for Fortinet security and networking solutions in enterprise and telecom environments.

• Design and implement network security, SD‑WAN, and SASE architectures (on‑prem, AWS, Azure, hybrid).

• Define target architectures, migration strategies, and transformation roadmaps.

• Deploy and manage FortiGate NGFW, Secure SD‑WAN, VPN, and SASE solutions.

• Provide L3/L4 escalation support for complex incidents and performance issues.

• Drive standardization, hardening, and adoption of best practices.

• Integrate Fortinet platforms with SOC, SIEM, SOAR, and security operations workflows.

• Support pre‑sales activities (RFP/RFI responses, solution architecture, effort estimation).

• Collaborate with OEMs, service providers, and delivery teams for successful outcomes.

• Create and maintain design documents, runbooks, SOPs, and implementation guides.

• Configure FortiGate NGFW features (firewall policies, NAT, IPS, antivirus, web filtering).

• Design and operate Secure SD‑WAN architectures (hub‑and‑spoke, DIA, MPLS, LTE/5G).

• Implement Fortinet Security Fabric integrations across network and security domains.

• Administer FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer platforms.

• Apply routing/switching knowledge (BGP, OSPF, VLAN design) and LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi fundamentals.

• Support Fortinet integrations with AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments.


Required Skills & Experience:

• Extensive hands‑on experience with Fortinet solutions in large enterprise/telecom environments.

• Strong expertise in NGFW, SD‑WAN, VPN, and SASE architectures.

• Deep knowledge of routing, switching, and network security fundamentals.

• Experience with cloud‑delivered security models and hybrid integrations.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical teams and executives.
