Role: Oracle DBA with Golden Gate DBA exp.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA / Golden Gate DBA to manage, optimize, and secure Oracle database environments. This role involves installation, configuration, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability across development, testing, and production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c) on Linux/Unix/Windows.

• Perform database backup and recovery using RMAN and Data Pump.

• Implement and manage Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery.

• Monitor performance, optimize queries, indexes, and storage.

• Apply patches and security updates to maintain compliance.

• Manage user access, roles, and privileges.

• Troubleshoot database issues and provide root cause analysis.

• Support migration and upgrade projects (on‑prem to cloud or version upgrades).

• Collaborate with application teams on schema design and performance tuning.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong Oracle DBA experience (11g/12c/19c).

• Oracle GoldenGate expertise, including replication and performance tuning.

• Backup/Recovery expertise with RMAN and Data Pump.

• SQL tuning, AWR reports, and optimizer strategies.

• High availability with Oracle RAC and Data Guard.

• Security management (roles, privileges, encryption).

• Shell scripting for automation.

• Basic Linux/Unix administration.

• Patching and upgrades (PSU/CPU).

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
