Job Title: Kafka Administrator
Location: Tampa/Dallas/New Jersey - Onsite
Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Kafka Administrator to manage, monitor, and optimize our Apache Kafka infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of Kafka clusters while supporting real-time data streaming needs across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and capacity.
• Manage topics, partitions, and consumer groups.
• Implement security measures including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Troubleshoot issues related to Kafka brokers, producers, and consumers.
• Automate operational tasks using scripts and tools.
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to support streaming applications.
• Perform upgrades, patches, and disaster recovery planning.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka architecture and ecosystem.
• Experience with Kafka administration, monitoring, and tuning.
• Familiarity with tools like Confluent, ZooKeeper, and Kafka Connect.
• Hands-on experience with Linux systems and shell scripting.
• Understanding of distributed systems and real-time data pipelines.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Exposure to big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Flink).
