Job Title: AS400/RPG Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC - Onsite

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced AS400/RPG Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with IBM i (AS400), RPG programming, DB2, and CL programming. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications while working closely with business and technical teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in AS400 (IBM i) development

• Strong experience with RPG IV, RPGLE, Free Format RPG, and CL/CLLE

• Experience with DB2/400 and Embedded SQL

• Knowledge of DDS, Subfiles, and Query/400

• Experience in application development, maintenance, and production support

• Ability to analyze business requirements and develop technical solutions

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ILE RPG and SQLRPGLE

• Knowledge of IBM ACS (Access Client Solutions)

• Exposure to REST APIs, Web Services, or API integration

• Experience with source control tools and Agile methodology

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain AS400/RPG applications.

• Enhance existing programs and support production issues.

• Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures in DB2.

• Work with business analysts to gather and analyze requirements.

• Perform unit testing and support system/integration testing.

• Create and maintain technical documentation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
